And now, some years later ...

... the Sei Do Kan dojo has more then 150 registered members.

Only three persons here in Australia had the honour to study under the late Nakamura Taizaburo, soke Nakamura ryu batto-do and hanshi 10th dan Toyama ryu batto-do.

Antony Karasulas sensei, Armidale NSW.
In the late 80's Karasulas sensei (5th dan Toyama ryu battodo) was the first to train directly under Nakamura sensei and to later teach Toyama ryu batto-do in Sydney and Armidale NSW.

Hans Fricke sensei, Sydney NSW.
In 2000 Hans Fricke sensei received a written invitation from Nakamura sensei to come to Japan and study under him. On his last study-trip Fricke sensei was given the rank of kyoshi 8th dan and permission to teach Nakamura Ryu Batto-do in Australia.
 
Ken Young , Sydney NSW.
From mid 2002, Ken Young Sydney NSW, made a number of week-end trips to Japan to train under Nakamura sensei in Toyama ryu battodo.
