Practicing a 4 cut  sequence    # 17

This important exercise teaches students how to control their weapon, how to advance towards the target without delay and how to cut the target by continuously changing their stances and cutting-line, reversing the blade at the same time.

Emphasis is placed on good foot-work, well balanced  posture and a correct cutting angle where, after each cut,  the sword has to come to a controlled stop tome before advancing to the next cut. Also, the sword-form kata must start and finish in a strong and controlled manner.
