NITO GIRI DO is the art of simultaneously cutting and thrusting into a target with either a katana and wakizashi or with two katana.
These techniques should not be copied by persons untrained in nito-ryu the art of the two swords
made so very famous by no other then the legandary Miyamoto Musashi.
However, fighting with two edged weapons was nothing new and possibly introduced to Japan by the Portugese in the 16th Century. These men of war were great fencers, especially with rapier and dagger and would have been very formidable opponents for anyone confronting them, including the samurai or Japanese swordsmen.
